Megan Kriss has been a freelance writer, editor, and content marketing consultant for around five years and an animal lover for her whole life.
Megan grew up with dogs, cats, and a 300-gallon tank full of fish. In college, she was even the designated “pet foster mom” for her friends who were studying abroad. Throughout her life, Megan has cared for a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, fish, a Roborovski hamster, rats, rabbits, and even a ball python.
Through these experiences, Megan has gained significant firsthand knowledge about caring for all kinds of pet species, but especially cats and dogs.
She is particularly interested in the hound group of dog breeds, as well as Border Collies, Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and Labrador Retrievers. Birman, Ragdoll, and Maine Coon cat breeds also hold a special place in her heart.
Megan currently lives in Georgia with her husband, Matthew, their Border Collie, and Chow Chow mix, Ginger, and their two cats, a tabby named Pepper and a Birman named Misha, though she’s always hoping to add more animals.
Megan went to the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), where she earned bachelor's degrees in Linguistics and International Affairs.
When she’s not working, Megan enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors hiking or camping, especially when she can bring along her animals.
